Two Meetings are organized per year, with the objectives of promoting discussions and exchanging ideas on matters related to activities and matters of interest to the Members.

Membership of this Group is open to Veterinary Surgeons living in Countries of the European Union who are employed (full or half time) by a poultry breeding or distributing organization, a hatchery or, who are running a Veterinary Practice where half, or more, of the income is from poultry work. Government employees cannot become Members. Membership is proposed by the Country Group on a majority decision basis.

In special cases the Committee of the PVSG EU may also propose and decide Membership for Veterinarians outside the EU .Countries outside the EU may have one Member with observer status without a seat on the Committee.

Applications for Membership have to be proposed to and accepted unanimously by the Committee.
